I really like Livejournal as a blog host and wanted to stay with them instead of running off to somebody else. The only thing I didn't like was my old username.

Anyway, did some searching about a month ago and found that the user "joel" was deleted. All I had to do was wait for it to be purged and it would be mine!

Well through the magic of *nix, I got a message 9 minutes ago that the username was available.

Cron + Growl = Win.
